I believe that pitch and tone are the two  most important qualities to be found in a turkey call.  I will go through hundreds of board feet of selected woods to find the turkey in it.  When I find the perfect grain in these boards I will cut my blanks for the calls.  Then I will hand craft each call to achieve that double note to fool that old tom your hunting.  I have a certain set of standards for each of my calls.  I won't let one leave my shop until those standards are met.
